The Dallas Independent Artists Community (DIAC) is an umbrella organization dedicated to bringing unity to the artists and collectives of Dallas, and to bringing purpose and vision to the work of the individual artist. Started by a few friends who recognize power in numbers and that many additional doors open when among a supportive and crative community. Been having some meetings, picnics and whatnot and brainstorming about what we can add to the stream of life here in Dallas on an art and social level. Our first show, I Am Here, will be held at Southside On Lamar and will be highlighting many of the collectives in the city as well as many independent artists. It is May 29th and 30th and will include much of what is relevant and progressive on an art and music level at the moment. Please feel free to stop by. And follow our lead and open a door for someone once in a while.
