Mount righteous is one of my favorite bands in Dallas. I fell in love with them a few years ago and have been wanting to shoot them every since. I finally got to. I had this pie in the sky idea of a big paper set we were going to build in the studio. We tried. Worked on it for hours. And hours. Thanks to Zicole and Alison. In the end though, it just didnt translate properly. The scale was just off. The big lesson for me is to have a really good backup plan for when the big ideas just dont quite work out. I love shooting bands and really want to shoot more of them. I am humbled though and realize i have alot to learn about the execution and preparation involved. I am okay with that. And i am okay with this simple, staight-forward image. Its what im taking with me. If you haven't heard these folks, you should.
