So, 2 years ago, Hal Samples handed me a camera and asked me to take a few shots of an event he was speaking at. The topic was The Power Of Serving Others Through Photography. Not ironic, but appropriate i think. I had never shot photography and hadn't even considered it, yet 12 hours and many shots later, i was pretty sure i had found something. I had. I have chased this thing and sought to learn about it with the desperation of a drowning man. Its working. And that single spark has started a spectral fire. This is my life now. I get to document little pieces of life and all of its details everywhere i go as a passion and also as a means to support myself and my daughter, Lyric. Its pretty amazing i think and it continues to remind me that the only limitations that exist are those i subscribe to or set for myself. So, i continue to grow internally as i shoot photography externally but there is no separation between the two. I will be posting blogs here from time to time to share current works with you all and for those who are interested give the stories behind some of the images.
I shot Sarah Anderson yesterday who is my friend Barbie's second eldest of five daughters. She is a senior and wanted to document this pivotal time in her life. Stunningly beautiful but still at that awkward last stop before womanhood. Here is some of what we created. Stay tuned for more.
