One of the most gentle, soft spoken and dignified human beings i have met in some time.

Processing

by Dylan 17. January 2010 08:57

I recently was allowed to shoot some photographs at a meat processing plant that a friend of mine manages. Here is some of what i saw. If any of you have any leads where i can find and document more people at work with an interesting twist, i would love to hear from you. Be well my friends.

Nick Jonas And The Administration

by Dylan 6. January 2010 09:32

I shot the opening night of Nick Jonas' new project a few weeks ago for SPIN Magazine online and Dallas Observer. The top shot went to print and the rest were used online. I had a chance to meet with him briefly afterward and get a quick shot of him. I asked for 30 seconds to set up a portable light and almost got it but then his management shut me down so i had to use the ceiling light and jack my ISO up to 4000. Not clean enough to use in my book. Nevertheless, my daughter is slightly impressed and even told the other kindergarten students about it. Just taking what life gives me with a smile.

Osgood-O'Neil's Bei Capelli

by Dylan 27. November 2009 08:22

I was hired to shoot a runway show for Osgood-O'Neil recently. The stylists and artists preparing, the runway show itself and a few minutes with each of the models. It was a challenge and i got to see where ive made progress at making something happen in a short amount of time. They were pleased with what i delivered to them and i think i will be invited back for future projects. I was just looking at Allison V.'s page and am really inspired by the niches she has developed, excels in and is sought after for. I look forward to narrowing my path and finding those within my work. I know im kind of all over the map for now but it seems necessary. I learn from every situation. Ive crashed and burned alot the last few months but i know these early difficult experiences have been really beneficial and ultimately become my assets. Here are a few beauty shots from the show. Hopeskya likes it.

Fred

by Dylan 15. November 2009 19:13

Driving through southwest dallas, crossing back over the bridge into the trinity, i looked over and saw Fred. Just HAD to stop. Walked up and asked if he was catching anything and he says, "i've just learned to be happy sitting here." At that point i knew i was in the right place and asked if i could sit for a while. We talked about alot but mostly God. His beliefs are a bit more handed down and structured than mine but i still learned alot. He said that life and God rarely change change to meet our liking and that we should consider changing to meet theirs. If you aren't opening yourself up to interact and learn from the people that cross your path, you are missing one of life's greatest gifts. Try it.
